Gambaran Jenis Leukosit pada Penderita Suspek Demam Tifoid

Demam tifoid adalah penyakit sistemik akut yang diakibatkan infeksi Salmonella typhi. Pemeriksaan laboratorium perlu dilakukan untuk medeteksi adanya infeksi oleh Salmonella typhi dintaranya adalah pemeriksaan darah lengkap dan widal. Hitung jenis leukosit memberikan informasi spesifik tentang infeksi dan proses penyakit salah satunya penyakit demam tifoid. Terdapat lima jenis leukosit yang harus dihitung yaitu basofil, eosinofil, neutrofil, limfosit dan monosit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran hasil pemeriksaan hitung jenis leukosit pada pasien suspek demam tifoid. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Bio Medika Tangerang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September - November 2019. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui terdapat 4 jenis sel leukosit terhitung jumlahnya diatas normal yaitu eosinofil 4 sampel (6,06%), neutrofil 23 sampel (34,85%), limfosit 7 sampel (10,61%), dan monosit 13 sampel (19,69%). Jenis sel leukosit yang teridentifikasi jumlahnya lebih rendah dari normal yaitu sel eosinofil 43 sampel (65,15%), neutrofil 7 sampel (10,61%), dan limfosit 20 sampel (30,3%).
