Abstract

Perilaku merokok berdampak buruk bagi  kesehatan. Salah satu zat berbahaya dalam asap rokok yaitu karbon monoksida. Karbon monoksida yang sangat mudah berikatan dengan hemoglobin . Ikatan karbon monoksida dengan hemoglobin dapat beresiko terjadinya kondisi hipoksia. Jika kondisi ini dibiarkan maka dapat menyebabkan kematian sel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran /rerata  kadar Hb pada pria perokok  aktif.  Metode dari penelitian ini menggunakan Alat Hb FamilyDR®, Reagen berupa strip Hb dengan chip kode Mini. Sample penelitian berjumlah 40 orang dengan usia >25 tahun. Hasil Penelitian diketahui bahwa kadar Hb dari pria merokok yang sudah lama mengisap rokok lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang baru merokok.
