In Indonesia, 22% of women experience severe pain and 15% experience pain-related complications, yet 63% of them have never received education on labor pain management. Lack of education leads to mothers being less mentally prepared, leading to anxiety, stress, decreased self-confidence, and difficulty controlling emotions. This study aims to determine the effect of non-pharmacological labor pain management education on the knowledge level of pregnant women in the third trimester at the TPMB (Private Midwifery Practice) Kusnaenih. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design approach. The sampling technique performed was a non-probability sampling technique with a total sampling rate of 46 respondents. Primary data were collected, and the Wilcoxon paired t-test was applied for data processing. The Wilcoxon paired t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post- test group averages before treatment, with a p-value of 0.000 <0.005. The video-based education presented information clearly and systematically, making it easier for pregnant women to understand the material, which resulted in an increase in their knowledge level after the intervention. There is an effect of non-pharmacological labor pain management education on the knowledge level of pregnant women in the third trimester at TPMB Kusnaenih. TPMB Kusnaenih is recommended to hold classes for pregnant women as part of antenatal care, using the educational video from this study as one of the educational media.
Nurul Hasna, Anjarwati Anjarwati, Sri Ratna Ningsih Copyright (c) 2026 Nurul Hasna, Anjarwati Anjarwati, Sri Ratna Ningsih https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/448 Fri, 23 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Repeat Acute Coronary Syndrome Following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Case Report https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/441
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the primary reperfusion strategy for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Despite high procedural success rates, patients remain at risk for recurrent acute coronary syndrome (ACS), particularly those with significant comorbidities. We report a case of recurrent ACS in a patient less than one year following successful primary PCI. A 50-year-old female presented to the emergency department with typical angina, shortness of breath, nausea, and diaphoresis. Her medical history was significant for hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and a STEMI treated with primary PCI five months prior. Despite reported adherence to dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT), she presented with tachycardia (104 bpm) and hypotension (155/55 mmHg). Electrocardiography revealed sinus tachycardia with pathological Q waves in leads V1–V4, consistent with a prior anterior myocardial infarction. Laboratory evaluation demonstrated hyperglycemia (228 mg/dL) and elevated cardiac troponin (44.2 ng/mL). The patient was diagnosed with recurrent ACS superimposed on an old anterior myocardial infarction. She was stabilized with loading doses of aspirin and clopidogrel and admitted to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) for guideline-directed medical therapy, including beta-blockers and high-intensity statins. She was discharged in stable condition after five days. This case illustrates that recurrent ACS can occur shortly after successful revascularization, specifically in patients with persistent cardiovascular risk factors such as uncontrolled hyperglycemia and hypertension. It highlights the critical importance of aggressive secondary prevention, strict glycemic control, and close follow-up to mitigate the risk of adverse cardiac events in the post-PCI period.
Alief Rezkinanda, Sjaiful Anwar Copyright (c) 2026 Alief Rezkinanda, Sjaiful Anwar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/441 Thu, 15 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Gingivektomi Pada Enlargement Gingiva Karena Malposisi Gigi Individual https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/444
Gingival enlargement is defined as a common clinical sign of gingiva caused directly by plaque that causes gingival inflammation. Gingivectomy is a procedure that can be performed on patients with gingival enlargement. This case report describes the management of gingival enlargement in a case of tooth 42 due to individual tooth malposition. A 20-year-old male patient came to Soelastri Dental and Oral Hospital in Surakarta complaining of swollen gums. The complaint was felt in the upper and lower front gums. The patient was unaware of the swelling, had never received treatment, and did not experience any pain. Gingival treatment for this patient began with phase 1 periodontal therapy followed by gingivectomy. The gingivectomy treatment in this case used a scalpel instrument and the results were effective in reducing the patient's gingival enlargement. The patient was advised to undergo further orthodontic treatment to correct individual tooth malposition.
Salwa Safira, Ariyani Faizah Copyright (c) 2026 Salwa Safira, Ariyani Faizah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/444 Fri, 09 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Pendekatan Kedokteran Keluarga Melalui Kunjungan Rumah Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Dan Hipertensi Di Kota Surabaya: Sebuah Laporan Kasus https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/437
Johanes Aprilius Falerio Kristijanto, Wike Herawaty, Ayu Cahyani Noviana, Farida Anggraini Soetedjo, Nur Khamidah Copyright (c) 2026 Johanes Aprilius Falerio Kristijanto, Wike Herawaty, Ayu Cahyani Noviana, Farida Anggraini Soetedjo, Nur Khamidah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jusindo.publikasiindonesia.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/437 Fri, 09 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000
